The company is a modern spinning operation process that produce carded and combed yarns in counts ranging from 10/1 up to 60/1 Ne. the mill started production on July 1993 with 9,072 spindles. In 1998 the production capacity was increased up to 14,112 spindels and the total number of spindles today is 17,472.Algodonera Peruana is equipped with state of the art machinery from Germany and Switzerland such as TRUETZCHLER, RIETER ZINSER AND SCHLAFHORST. The building is completely air conditioned by LUWA and the cleaning of the ring spinning frames, as well as the automatic bobbin transport from the roving to the spinning frames was supplied by ELECTROJET. You also will find equipment from ATLAS COPCO, CATERPILLAR and other important manufacturers.

The plant consists of the following sections:

• Opening and Cleaning of the cotton with an automatic bale opener which can be fed with up to 32 bales on each side. There are two cleaning lines which can be feed at the same time by the automatic bale opener with one type of cotton, and also the two lines can work independently with two different types of cotton.

• Carding consists of high production cards with chute-feeds with automatic can changing devices.- Drawing with lines of machines each with first and second draft, this last ones with auto leveler. The section also has one lap machine that feeds the combing machines.
• Roving, spinning and winding with roving machines having 120 spindles each that are used to prepare the sliver for the ring spinning frames, each with 1008 spindles and linked to the winding machines with 30 positions each.

All the machines are highly automated.The spinning plant is air-conditioned, this means that the relative humidity is controlled automatically with different settings for each section.The mill has its own textile laboratory completely equipped with very modern instruments for the analysis of fibers, material in process and finished spun yarns. ZELLWEGER USTER is the supplier of these equipment.The spinning process is controlled ¿on-line¿ with equipment like the SLIVER MONITOR in the auto leveler of drawing frames, RING DATA in the spinning frames, and yarn clearers model QUANTUM in the cone winding machines.The winders are also equipped with the CONE EXPERT SYSTEM for convenient data evaluation.It is important to highlight that all the production process, like machinery maintenance is taken care by experienced personnel. The mill works 24 hours a day the whole year around.
